SPEND AN AFTERNOON WITH DR. COLLIA

Dr. Collia defies the conventional role of a Pediatric Emergency Medicine Doctor and Simulation Educator at the esteemed Hospital for Sick Children. Beyond her dedicated ER shifts and medical workshops, she emerges as a dynamic force committed to advancing pediatric trauma management training. As the Community Fellowship Program Director and Resident Hospital Site Coordinator, she revolutionizes the educational journey for trainees, fostering a culturally sensitive and supportive community.

A compassionate member of the hospital's Peer Support Group, Dr. Collia extends her dedication to promoting an EDI-forward environment within the medical profession. Recently honored with the prestigious Sick Kid’s President’s Award, she stands out for her outstanding contributions to parental outreach, advocacy, and education. Beyond institutional boundaries, her influence extends into social media, where she serves as a trusted Public Figure—a go-to source for reliable information on common pediatric illnesses.

Hosting her own IG LIVE Series titled "Physicians in Living Rooms" and co-hosting "Reflections from the ER" with CityTV’s Stella Acquisto, Dr. Collia provides transparent and open collaborative discussions on pertinent Pediatric Health and ER topics. Her goal is to educate and coach parents on becoming the best advocates for their children. Dr. Collia is also a vocal advocate for equity in healthcare, women’s health, and mental health.

Beyond the academic sphere, Dr. Collia embraces an active lifestyle, driven by an adventurous spirit. Whether delving into the complexities of the medical world or exploring the wonders of the globe during her downtime, she continually seeks new horizons. Off duty, she indulges in pampering her fur-babies Nikko and Lola, and cherishes moments with family and friends. Unapologetically, she confesses to a guilty pleasure—never missing the latest superhero film and relishing the cinematic experience with a side of popcorn.
